Meriann Ritacco

Meriann Ritacco

Executive Director

Meriann Ritacco has been employed by the Residences at Vantage Point’s management firm, Life Care Services, since 2001. She became Vantage Point’s executive director in July 2007. Ms. Ritacco has more than 30 years of experience in senior services in a variety of settings. Her experience includes operational leadership in both skilled nursing and continuing care retirement communities. She is a licensed nursing home administrator in Maryland, Illinois and Pennsylvania. Ms. Ritacco holds a bachelor of science degree in special education from Duquesne University.

Marcie Koenig

Marcie Koenig

Administrator

Marcie Koenig, MSW, NHA, is a licensed nursing home administrator and currently serves as administrator for Residences at Vantage Point. In this capacity, she is responsible for the overall operations of the Health Center areas – including Cedar Place (long-term/skilled care), Aspen Place (assisted living), and Monterey Place (memory care assisted living). In addition, she works closely with other health service functions, including the wellness center, Resident Services Agency, and the fitness program. Marcie feels passionately about strong hospitality, person-centered living, and creating opportunities and supports for all residents, their family and loved ones, and employees to experience joy, and to be fully engaged in whatever way is meaningful to them.

Tony Bennett

Director of Plant Operations

Tony Bennett joined the community as repositioning manager in November 2016, was appointed as interim plant operations director in May 2017, and promoted to director in June 2017. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the construction industry and in hotel and property management.

Barbara D'Anna Van Sant

Barbara D’Anna Van Sant

Director of Health Services

Ms. Van Sant joined Vantage Point as director of health services in August 2009. She has more than 35 years of experience in the healthcare field. She began as a nursing assistant in 1976, became an RN in 1984, worked as an RN in intensive care for 19 years, entered long-term care in 1997, and became a certified director of nursing administrator in long-term care under NADONA in April 2009.

Paul Dutton

Paul Dutton

Director of Human Resources

Paul Dutton joined Vantage Point in December 2007. He has more than 20 years of experience in the human resources field. He has a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix and has achieved his certification as a professional in human resources (PHR) through the Society for Human Resource Management.

Gil Hardy

Gil Hardy

Director of Environmental Services

Gil Hardy has served as director of environmental services since August 2018. He has more than 19 years of experience in the environmental services field in both the commercial and health care industries.

Patti Hutton

Patti Hutton

Director of Marketing

Patti Hutton is a senior living marketing and sales professional with 27 years of experience in educating seniors and professionals about CCRCs. As a marketing and sales professional, she has consulted with more than 50 CCRCs across the country, assisting thousands of seniors and their families sort through the many senior living choices to find the right solution for their lives. She has presented at numerous state and national senior living conferences, and has published articles on CCRCs. Now as director of marketing for Residences at Vantage Point, she is excited to bring her passion to families in the Columbia and DMV region.

Anita Mentzer

Anita Mentzer

Director of Social Work

Anita Mentzer has more than 34 years of clinical experience working with individuals across the life span. She has worked with older adults and their families for the past 26 years, primarily in medical settings. She earned an MSW from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachlor’s degree in sociology from Villanova University. She values the wisdom and knowledge of the residents and their families, and she enjoys the collaboration of working as part of a team. One of her passions is providing services via support groups and family meetings as individuals cope with various issues and life transitions. Utilizing empathy, compassion and a sense of humor are critical to her daily performance.

Kristie Miller

Kristie Miller

Director of Finance

Kristie Miller joined Vantage Point in January 2016 as director of finance. She has her master’s degree in business administration, graduating with honors. She is licensed as a certified public accountant (CPA) in the state of Maryland. She has experience in both non-profit and healthcare industries, and comes to Vantage Point with more than 15 years of experience in the field of finance.

Lisa Rohauer

Director of Dining Services

Lisa Rohauer has more than 30 years of experience in the dining services and hospitality industry. She began her career in the hotel industry by working with Marriott and Holiday Inn hotels in Des Moines, Iowa. She finished her hotel career as a food & beverage director, and extended her career into the golf course management business, operating as food and beverage director at a resort course in Virginia Beach, and then ultimately as the general manager of a private country club in Crofton, Maryland. Ms. Rohauer joined the Vantage Point community in January 2009 as assistant dining services director, was appointed interim director in October 2016, and was promoted to director in December 2016. Ms. Rohauer is both Serv-Safe certified (for food-handling and sanitation practices) and Maryland’s BEST certified (for alcohol handling and practices).
