Thank You to All Participants!
We recently held a TV show “Shark Tank”, teams of Howard County High School Students were invited to pitch their “Big Idea” to a panel of resident judges for cash prizes*! Final 5 competition was on Saturday April 27th , 2024.
All together there were 11 total entries. That in itself is a win! It was a huge success. We would like to congratulate all 5 winning teams.

- 1st Place: Adaptive Sports Equipment for Disadvantaged Athletes| Glenelg High School (Each team member received $500 prize!)
- 2nd Place: Portable IV and Drinking Water System|Glenelg High School
- 3rd Place: Lesion Detector App|Mt. Hebron High School
- 4th Place: Digital Duality: The Pros & Pitfalls of AI|Centennial High School|Mount Hebron High School
- 5th Place: Caffeine Removal Wastewater Treatment System|Centennial High School
The judges were residents who have had distinguished careers in government, industry, science, engineering, and education.This was an opportunity for students in their home County to demonstrate how they can contribute to society through their innovation and ingenuity. *cash prize were distributed evenly amongst team members.
