Pierce Carey

Executive Director

Pierce Carey started his career with Vantage Point’s management firm, Life Care Services, in 2019. During his tenure, he has held several positions within the company. Pierce joined Vantage Point in 2023 as Executive Director. He holds a bachelor’s degree in health administration and a master’s degree in health administration.

Alexis Hitchcock

Administrator

Ms. Hitchcock has been employed by Vantage Point’s management firm, Life Care Services, since 2020, and became Vantage Point’s Administrator in July of 2021. Alexis graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire with a degree in Healthcare Administration. She holds her nursing home administrator license in Maryland and Washington State.

Fatmatu “Bah” Bah-Barrie

Director of Health Services

Fatmatu has been employed with Vantage Point since 2005. Prior to becoming the Director of Health Services, “Bah” has served in many other clinical capacities at Vantage Point including Assistant Director of Health Services, RN Delegating Nurse and Wellness Center Nurse.

Paul Dutton

Director of Human Resources

Paul Dutton joined Vantage Point in December 2007. He has more than 20 years of experience in the human resources field. He has a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix and has achieved his certification as a professional in human resources (PHR) through the Society for Human Resource Management.

Gil Hardy

Director of Environmental Services

Gil Hardy has served as director of environmental services since August 2018. He has more than 19 years of experience in the environmental services field in both the commercial and health care industries.

Patti Hutton

Director of Marketing

Patti Hutton is a senior living marketing and sales professional with 27 years of experience in educating seniors and professionals about CCRCs. As a marketing and sales professional, she has consulted with more than 50 CCRCs across the country, assisting thousands of seniors and their families sort through the many senior living choices to find the right solution for their lives. She has presented at numerous state and national senior living conferences, and has published articles on CCRCs. Now as director of marketing for Residences at Vantage Point, she is excited to bring her passion to families in the Columbia and DMV region.

Carliesa Meakes

Director of Community Life

Carliesa Meakes joined Vantage Point in September 2023. She is an adept leader with over 15 years of experience in activity and event planning for older adults. With previous responsibilities as a Director of Life Enrichment and Community Engagement, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this key position. In 2009 Carliesa completed her Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University. She has also obtained certification through the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals.

Lisa Rohauer

Director of Dining Services

Lisa Rohauer has more than 30 years of experience in the dining services and hospitality industry. She began her career in the hotel industry by working with Marriott and Holiday Inn hotels in Des Moines, Iowa. She finished her hotel career as a food & beverage director, and extended her career into the golf course management business, operating as food and beverage director at a resort course in Virginia Beach, and then ultimately as the general manager of a private country club in Crofton, Maryland. Ms. Rohauer joined the Vantage Point community in January 2009 as assistant dining services director, was appointed interim director in October 2016, and was promoted to director in December 2016. Ms. Rohauer is both Serv-Safe certified (for food-handling and sanitation practices) and Maryland’s BEST certified (for alcohol handling and practices).

Mark Scoffield

Director of Plant Operations

Mark Scoffield joined Vantage Point in November 2021. He is an accomplished leader with over 25 years of experience in facility management. Mark attended the University of Toronto and majored in Building Management. Mark has worked with other continuing care retirement communities like Vantage Point and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this key position.
