A Commitment to Community as He Joins the TCCA Board

We are pleased to announce that resident Dick Tettelbaum’s is joining the Columbia Town Center Residential Community Association (TCCA) board. A longtime advocate for community involvement, Dick Tettelbaum’s service reflects his enduring dedication to making a difference. His wealth of both professional and volunteer experience positions him to bring invaluable insights to the board.

Born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, Dick’s background is deeply rooted in commitment to both learning and service. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Maryland, a law degree from George Washington University and finally a master’s degree in liberal studies from Georgetown University. All in all, Dick has remained a lifelong learner, attending various academic programs through St. John’s College, Chesapeake Forum and Osher.

A Commitment to Service

Throughout his career and beyond, Dick has shown that he values service. For example, after moving to Easton, Maryland in 2005, Dick transitioned from practicing law professionally to providing legal work on a volunteer basis, finding fulfillment in supporting his community. His volunteer work with Mid Shore Pro Bono and Talbot Community for Life further solidified his belief that giving back is an integral part of a fulfilling life. “I find that volunteering and working pro bono is more satisfying than working for pay ever was,” he says.

Dick Tettelbaum’s service extended to community administration as well. He served on Easton’s Planning and Zoning Commission for over a decade, including six years chairing the Planning Commission. Furthermore, his leadership and dedication to his town were evident in his work on the Board of Zoning Appeals, which he chaired for nearly three years.

TCCA’s Future with Dick Tettelbaum’s Service

With his rich history of community involvement, it is clear that Tettelbaum values service and will bring a wealth of knowledge to his new role with the TCCA Board for the next two years. Moreover, his decades of experience in legal and community service, combined with his leadership roles, will provide immeasurable guidance as the board continues to shape the future of TCCA. “I would like to look back on this and feel that I’ve accomplished something,” Dick said. “I’d like to be remembered for helping the community.”

In this new chapter, Dick is enthusiastic about contributing to TCCA’s mission. We are confident that, with his background, he will bring a thoughtful, strategic perspective to every initiative he supports.

Congratulations, Dick!

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dick Tettelbaum for joining the TCCA Board. His lifelong commitment to service, leadership and community involvement is unquestionably inspiring. We look forward to seeing all the ways he will continue to make a meaningful impact in his new role.
