One of our goals is to encourage all of Columbia’s older adults to engage in cultural opportunities — whether they’re Vantage Point residents or not. So we’ve partnered with the Columbia Association’s Senior Advisory Committee to provide free curb-to-curb evening and weekend shuttle service to cultural events throughout Howard County for people 60 and over.
The Senior Events Shuttle Service, ideal for groups of four to nine people, takes passengers to theatrical, musical and literary activities at Howard Community College’s theatres, The Jim Rouse Theatre for the Performing Arts, Slayton House and Toby’s Dinner Theatre, as well as to art exhibits, readings and lectures at the college and Howard County Library. The shuttle also includes service to Howard County’s senior centers.
