Once Again, Columbia, MD Has Been Named to the Happiest Cities in America List

COLUMBIA, MD — A Howard County community once again has been named to the Happiest Cities in America list for 2026.
Ranked in the top 15 for happiest cities in the U.S. for 2026 by WalletHub, Columbia previously ranked in the top 10 in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
“Columbia has been recognized as one of the happiest cities in America. The personal finance outlet, WalletHub compared 182 of the largest U.S. cities to determine which is home to the happiest people in America. The outlet examined each city based on 29 key indicators of happiness, including depression rates, income growth and average daily leisure time.
