Pink Day 2024 at Residences at Vantage Point | A Celebration of Awareness and Self-Care
February 6, 2025
On October 25, 2024, Residences at Vantage Point hosted Pink Day for the first time. On this occasion, our community came together to raise awareness of breast cancer, to honor survivors and to remember those we have lost. Generally, designed as a day of self-care, Pink Day 2024 featured wellness activities, educational sessions and artistic expression, all centered on support and healing.
A Day of Self-Care and Awareness
Self-care was at the heart of Pink Day 2024 at Residences at Vantage Point. For example, residents and staff received special self-care boxes filled with thoughtful items to promote relaxation and well-being. Additionally, throughout the day, participants enjoyed facials, chair massages and guided exercise classes. Emotional wellness events provided support, while peer educators shared valuable insights on breast cancer prevention and early detection.
Honoring Survivors with Strength and Style
One of the most moving moments of Pink Day 2024 was the runway walk for breast cancer survivors. In this case, each participant was celebrated for her resilience and received a meaningful gift: a tote bag containing pink roses and a scarf. Music and poetry readings complemented the event, creating an atmosphere of love and solidarity.
Art and Hope: “Together There’s Hope”

Art played a powerful role in Pink Day 2024. Led by Jen Lavanish of Blossoms of Hope, participants created pink-and-white-themed artwork. The resulting 72” x 48” collage, titled “Together There’s Hope,” was selected for the Blossoms 2025 Countywide Art Show in Howard County. This exhibition, celebrating 20 years of Blossoms of Hope, will display over 380 pieces through March 21, 2025. “Together There’s Hope,” specifically, will be on display in the Rouse Company Foundation Gallery at the Horowitz Visual and Performing Art Center at Howard Community College. The gallery is open from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM daily.
Looking Ahead: Blossoms Gala Celebration
On Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 6:00 PM, the Blossoms Gala Celebration will take place at the Horowitz Visual Art Center at Howard Community College. This event will honor the artists and showcase the impact of creative expression in the fight against breast cancer.
Pink Day 2024 Began a Tradition of Support and Strength
The success of Pink Day 2024 at Residences at Vantage Point reaffirmed our commitment to awareness, support and community wellness. Through self-care, education and artistic collaboration, we honored those affected by breast cancer while fostering hope for the future. We look forward to making Pink Day an annual tradition, strengthening our community one step at a time.
