What advice do you have for those interested in giving back?
“Since 2004 I have sent care packages to deployed troops. I have written letters to friends and our elected officials to help support our troops. They have responded generously. Together, we are helping those who are serving our country. I served on the Board of Trustees of Howard County General Hospital for 22 years and on the Howard County Police Department Citizens Advisory Council for 26 years. Additionally, I have donated significant amounts of money to Howard County General Hospital and to Howard Community College. I think we should do all we can to support our community and try always to help people in need. As Jackie Robinson said, “A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.”
