Residences at Vantage Point Support Candlelight Concerts

Residences at Vantage Point, a retirement community in Downtown Columbia, will once again sponsor a series of performances presented by the Candlelight Concert Society, one of Howard County’s longest running arts organizations.

Candlelight Concert Society season highlights include a wide spectrum of musical events, starting with accordionist Hanzhi Wang on Oct. 5, at the Peter & Elizabeth Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center at Howard Community College.

Also showcased at Howard Community College are pianist Paul Lewis on Oct. 26, a capella group Calmus Vocal Ensemble on Dec. 14, Poulenc Trio with clarinetist Alex Fiterstein Jan. 25, the Schumann Quartet on Feb. 22, Kristof Barati on violin with Enrico Pace on piano April 18, and string orchestra The Mount Vernon Virtuosi with conductor and soloist Amit Peled May 16. On March 28, Candlelight will present pianist Behzod Abduraimov at the University of Baltimore County.

Residences at Vantage Point was founded in 1990 and is a nonprofit serving people age 60 and above. Managed by Life Care Services, the community includes a variety of residential living arrangements and provides long-term health services exclusively for residents should they need them.

Residences at Vantage Point is noted for its arts, cultural and educational activities, as well as for resident engagement with the larger community of Columbia. It is located at 5400 Vantage Point Road. For information, visit www.vantagepointresidences.org
